Picture Postcard

It was pouring this morning at dawn. I got up to shut the windows and could not get back to sleep. The think is, I did not catch much sleep. I was up till about 4 am. I wrote a letter by hand to Justin Fu. For two reasons, firstly I can’t sleep and I just want to write. Secondly he got enlisted and will soon be in the army. The thing is, I was at the bookstore yesterday, and was looking under the War/Military section. I learn something yesterday. For the case of Justin; I have to take back my stand and say that the army may be of a better place for him.

I read and look at some books about the marines and SEALs yesterday. And I must say, I take my hat off of them. I just have a wishful thinking that he can be like many of them get a management/executive post after he... (now what is that word) is no longer in the service. He do need a purpose in life.

I was online at about 1200hrs to do research on some further reading and I meet Jake once again. We had a pretty nice chat and meet his room mate (I can’t believe I just said that… all thanks to his nifty little web cam) I log off at about 1400hrs and accompany my mom to the clinic. Apparently she’s not feeling very well about her right eye.

After that, I went shopping for postcard. I’ve promised Jake to send him one. I bought one at the bookshop and when I go to the post office to get some stamps, I found that they are still open and they too sells some postcards, the bigger ones. They are better looking and more in variety. I’ve learned something today. All the while I just buy a few one dollar stamps and keep them at home. At the post office I thought of getting some better looking stamps. I learn that, standard postcards, posting to Australia and USA are only 55 cents, by Air and 35 cents by land/sea. But all the while, I’ve been sending them at one dollar to Australia! Right, that’s a lot of money we are talking about here, since I send like a few every month. Oh well.

I post if off today and he may be able to get it in 2 weeks. I kind of think I took down the address wrongly. Its Monterey and not Manterey right? I think I wrote manterey on my address book. But I remember Monterey Pine from somewhere I’ve read. It’s a California timber. Hm… we’ll find out in 2 weeks time.

I’ve done something so not me. First is the hand written letter to Justin, by mail. For a person who send Emails like no body’s business, its rather strange. I will try to get some sleep tonight. By the way, I’ve got 3 postcards. The one I posted is rather cereal. It’s a Chinese temple taken with the CBD as the backdrop. To be frank. I never know there was a temple there. I got one for myself as well, and promised to find out where it is.

There’s something on the news which I want to comment about, but bollocks! I cant remember what is it. oh well. no big deal anyway.

Regarding the book I am reading. I realized it is not possible to finish it on one week. There’s more to it. it need some thinking. Have to digest them slowly. I think I will read it, then re-read it again. I’ll see how it goes.

regarding the complexity of my writing: i'll keep it simple, as best as i can so u can hopefully do away with the dictionary.

and thank you for the warmly proffered advice, its been appreciated.

it sure is nice staying up late but appropriate sleep could enhance your, alertness, energy, mood, body weight, perception, memory, thinking, reaction time, productivity, performance, communication skills, creativity, safety, good health, longevity

i'd rather trade the pleasures of staying up late with this list.

p.s. it'll take a while, in the meantime:
